High in the Andes mountains, a baby in Caraz, Ancash, Peru breast feeds because her cleft lip was repaired. Children born with club feet are walking today because their feet were straightened.  A mother welcomes her healthy newborn thanks to an emergency c-section. A father is back to work because he no longer has an infected gallbladder.
These are just four out of thousands of success stories made possible thanks to the multiple medical missions staffed by the many volunteers from the Osorio Foundation.
The Foundation was founded by Mesa physician Dr. Raul A. Osorio, a Caraz native; Dr. Osorio and his family have been leading medical missions to his native country since 1983. Now, his sons, Kenneth and Fredrick Osorio, who are also physicians, are continuing the family tradition of service.
